Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle) is governed by a
self-perpetuating Board of Directors and is a charitable trust
organized as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of
Ohio. Battelle is exempt from federal taxation under Section 501(c)(3)
of the Internal Revenue Code because it is organized for charitable,
scientific, and educational purposes.
