United States' Clean Energy Patents Soar in 2010: Report
U.S. patents for clean-energy technologies in 2010
jumped to 1,881, up 170% over those recorded in 2009,
according to the Clean Energy Patent Growth Index.
55 of the world's 65 largest oil producing countries are past their production peaks and in decline.
The United States makes up 5% of the world's population and accounts for 25% of total energy use.
