Michael F. McGhee
Mr. Michael F. McGhee is the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy, Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (EESOH), providing senior policy and program oversight for Air Force environmental programs worldwide. As Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary, he leads the Air Force senior policy and oversight office for environment, safety, occupational health and energy matters. His responsibilities include providing guidance, direction and oversight of all matters pertaining to formulation, review and execution of plans, policies programs and budgets for environmental, safety, occupational health and energy programs.
Mr. McGhee began his Air Force career as a commissioned officer, a Bioenvironmental Engineer, at the San Antonio Air Logistics Center at Kelly AFB, TX. After working in construction management in the Washington, DC area, Mr. McGhee returned to the Air Force where he has held positions in environmental management, environmental policy and project management, at the installation, Major Command, and Headquarters U.S. Air Force organizational levels, before his current assignment in the Air Force Secretariat. Mr. McGhee is a member of the Defense Leadership and Management Program and a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
